Greetings!

Hello my FABULOUS AND FAITHFUL readers!! I hope that everyone has had a good week. It's finally Friday and it is going to be a pretty busy weekend but I'm looking forward to it with a couple of naps in between : )

So, has anyone don any Pinterest projects? I would love to hear about it. Thinking about a couple of easy ones I want to start off with. Looking forward to decorating for the holidays and hopefully my mom will be here with me. Been a little on edge, she is in the hospital so please say a prayer for her. I'm doing better today than I was yesterday. She is in another state so I'm really on edge. I know that God is in control and I am remaining as strong as I can and in constant prayer.

So, I just want to let you know that I'm still in the land of alive and well and I hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed and safe weekend!

It's The Weekend!

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Mine is super busy and I haven't even left the house! Between cleaning, getting prepared to do laundry, running after/stalking/keeping an eye on/getting up and sitting back down/feeding/yelling 'stop that' 'don't do that' 'put it back' 'leave it alone' to  my toddler and trying to organize my Pinterest Boards, I would say it's super busy. I won't complain to much since I am blessed to see another day, the sun is shining brightly, the house is clean and I can somewhat relax. So, in my Wendy Williams voice 'how you doin'?'

I figured I would kind of sit down and go through my1,011 pins-I call it 'Pinsanity', boards and see just how much stuff I have pinned and see what projects, crafts, do-it-yourself activities I want to conquer. Yes I have 1,011 pins-there's things/websites/ideas that you just can't pass up. I've pinned everything from making your own laundry detergent (I will definitely be doing that); turning an old entertainment center into a baby's changing table and storage; it looks awesome! Also, did you know that if you place a wooden spoon over a pot of boiling water, it won't boil over? I'll have to try that one. Got it from here.  I also found this really cool idea for some 'blinged out candle holders'. Just buy some rhinestones from a craft store, Michael's or Hobby Lobby and glue them with a hot glue gun or gorilla glue to candle holders for a blinged out and elegant look. I think it would be a great idea for a wedding reception or any occasion. Yes, my fabulous readers, I have a bad case of Pinsanity and as the lyrics from Diana Ross' song says 'if there's a cure for this I don't want it.'

Like I said before, doing some of the things on Pinterest, your house can look like it's straight out of a magazine for cheap! Decorate like a pro, cook like a Top Chef, and save hundreds of dollars in the process.

Well, if you want to find these ideas and MORE click on the Links above or click on the 'Follow Me on Pinterest Button' at the top. You may get addicted, but you won't be disappointed.

In the meantime, Be Blessed, Be Encouraged and above all Be Grateful!

One Day Closer to Friday!

Hello Fabulous Readers!

I hope you are enjoying your week. If not, don't worry, the weekend is almost here. Just wanted to let everyone know all is well. You know I've been pinning this and that and everything. Hoping to do some DIY projects real soon. I found a few cheap yet awesome projects that me and my daughter can do together. I found some really pretty fabric online at WalMart to do a headboard with. We will see how it turns out.

Just wanted to pass along this website that was given to me, for those who have children under preschool age. It's the Early Headstart program. Here is the website eclkc.ohs.acf.hhs.gov/hslc
Be sure to check it out.

It's Finally The Weekend!

GREETINGS MY MOST FABULOUS AND DEAREST READERS!

It's finally Friday and I couldn't be happier. Had a great work week and I'm looking forward to the weekend! Had a great day at work today-I got to wear jeans, eat free pizza and laugh pretty much the entire day, while getting a lot done!

Laughter is truly good for the soul. What is life if you can't laugh sometimes. It's important to learn to have fun. I love to laugh and create laughter where ever I go. I never know when someone may need a smile, a joke a word of encouragement or to just LAUGH! I told my supervisor I'm always cheerful. I have my serious moments, when I'm paying bills, but I'm laughing inside. A man told me today, you have a good spirit, did you inherit it or did you receive it. I said it's always been there, it's just that through the years of living it's been cultivated. That really encouraged me, because I want to leave a positive impression on anyone I meet and if that happens to be part of my ministry, in spite of my faults and shortcomings, then so it is. Sometimes we get so balled up and pressed down from the cares of this life until we fail to think about at least one good thing. If anyone says they don't have one good thing to laugh about or be happy about, tell me to read the newspaper or watch the news, I guarantee they will come across someone that is worse off than them. I may not have the finest 'things' in life, but I do believe I have a good heart and a kind spirit (almost too kind) and if I can make a positive impact in one person's life then I've got a reason to smile. So my advice to you is, take the time to laugh and have fun. I don't care how you 'over analyze' your issues and problems, just when you think you got it all figured out, here comes something else. I don't care how mad you may be at anyone, believe me, they have gone on with their lives, whether they are changed or not. I tell my mom, there is no need for you to be worrying about those 'over-grown' kids of yours, because once you're gone, more than likely they're just going to keep doing what they were doing. Enjoy your latter years.

Now onto some fun stuff!! Now you all KNOW where I've been--yep, Pinsane.  In my Kevin Hart voice, Yep, I know, I'm not ashamed, I admit it, I'm addicted, I've been pinning, day and night, on the phone, on the computer, until it's time for me to go NIGHT-NIGHT! But anywayyyyyyy....I've found so many awesome ideas until I don't know where to begin. I think I'm going to start in my daughter's room, since she's such a 'girly-girl' I'll have to make it really pretty. I found this really nice tutorial on how to make a headboard on this blog. It's appears so simple and best of all CHEAP! Of course the hubby will have to build it, but I think she will really like it. I also came across this site called freebies2deals.com  where you can find freebies, coupons and great deals. I'm also planning to do this faux stained glass project I also found, on Pinterest, of course. I mean it's made from a cheap 8-1/2x11 picture frame that you can pick up from the dollar store and/or the thrift store. So HAPPY PINNING, CRAFTING, DO-IT-YOURSELFING (LOL)!

Check out Penny Pinching Polly-she will be hosting a Ladies Night In on tomorrow, September 15th where you can enter to win some really nice gifts! Click on the link to take a 'sneak peek' at the album.

Well that's all for the evening.  It's kind of late, went out and had pizza with the family, so now I'm relaxing. But it's the weekend, I can stay up REAL late....yaaaaayyyyy. I'm so grown! Until next post, enjoy life, Be Encouraged, Be Inspired and above all Be Grateful! God Bless and Good night--well not really because you KNOW I'm about to head on over to the 'Pinterest Mall'.

Happy Tuesday!

Hello BEAUTIFULS!! I hope you are enjoying your evening! It's been a good week so far. I have posted since Saturday, so you know I can't stay away for too long. Church was awesome on Sunday and it was back to work on Monday after a weeklong vacation.

In the meantime you all KNOW where I have been...yep, going PINSANE! I have found so many wonderful, do it yourself projects for decorations, organization, and you know FOOD!! I have pinned so much to my Do It Yourself Board that I really need to organize it. Your house can look like it's right out of a magazine or throw a party that looks like it was done by a professional party planner and all for a few dollars. Click on the Pinterest follow button at the top and check out some of my boards! Let's Go Pinsane!

Until next post...Be Blessed, Be Inspired, and Be Encouraged!

Happy Friday!!

HELLOOOOOO MY FABULOUS AND AWESOME READERS! HAPPY FRIDAY!

I hope that everyone had a great week. I had a very good week.  I was off due to the DNC and I have gotten SPOILED! It's been great! But I guess it's back to the grind on.

Haven't posted in a couple of days---sorry : (  I'm quite sure you know where I've been, yep, I've been going PINSANE on Pinterest! Oh my goodness, the do-it-yourself crafts are endless! I can't wait to start doing some of these projects. One I 'pinned' was turning a crib mattress into a nice kids reading nook. Or taking fabric and attaching/gluing it to the lid of shoe boxes for decorative wall hangings, I think I'm going to do this and attach some mirrors to them; Or taking empty paper boxes, lining them with fabric and making toy bins. I've been going absolutely crazy! I'm definitely going to be doing some things for the holiday.  My trips to Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and Walmart will never be the same. I don't think we have a Hobby Lobby down here, there is a Michael's. They seem to be a little bit expensive though. You can make your home look like royalty for just a few bucks. Click on the 'Follow Me on Pinterest' button at the top, but I'm warning you.....it's addictive!!

I hope you all have been checking out the nomorerack.com deals. They have some insanely low prices. Also check out sparklingcreationsbymelinda.com for beautifully handmade jewelry. I have ordered several pieces from her and I am absolutely satisfied! This jewelry is very pretty.

Well, I guess you all know where I'm headed to next....yep, time to go Pinsane!!

Until next post, BE BLESSED, BE SAFE, BE ENCOURAGED!

Thank You!

Happy Tuesday FABULOUS READERS! I hope that everyone had a nice, safe holiday. It was a day pretty much like any other day to me. I went outside the house once and that was to go to the store. Holidays just aren't what they used to be.

I just wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every one of you. Although I still consider myself to be a 'newbie' and I know my blog is not as fancy as others, but I thank you for your 'readership.' It means a lot to me. I will do my best to make this blog fun and exciting. I hope to continue to create laughter, encourage you and inspire you in any way I can.

SO, as I was surfing, I came across this article on Yahoo! about 10 Superfoods For Women, and guess what? Coffee is on the list! I'm not a real coffee drinker, I may have one cup depending on how cold I am. One of the foods, which I hate, is on there. Brussel Sprouts--ewwwwww. My husband like them, I ususally get the steam-in-bag kind. I can eat one, but that's about it. Some people say they cook them in olive oil and a little salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese. That sounds good. I may try it, or find a recipe so I can spice these things up. But check out the article. I know we all like to eat healthy, even me who really is worried about gaining ANY weight and has pretty much been the same size since I can remember, with the exception of the 14 pounds I gained since I've been in the Queen City, yet I still don't know where those 14 pounds are. I still like to eat healthy. I love fresh fruits and veggies. Growing up we ALWAYS had a garden every year and that was the best tasting food! When I get the opportunity, I am going to have me a garden. With the way they spraying and injecting foods, we need to grow our own foods.

NEXT....On one of my previous posts about this website www.workathomenoscams.com. His website is truly AWESOME! He has tons of work at home opportunities that he, himself and researched and has given a review of. He is straightforward and funny! I've signed up for a few of the opportunities he has listed. One in particular I wanted to tell you about is Elance. It is a freelance work website where you can find 1,000 of work from home jobs in many fields, of course you would still do your research about the company. You find a job that interests you, submit your proposal, and wait for a response. I usually search for companies that have 'verified payment' that way you know you are guaranteed to get paid. Each proposal is usually '1 connect' which you are able to get more connects to submit more bids. Sometimes you may receive an invitation to bid on a job, which doesn't cost any 'Connects'. I have received two invitations so far and I do have about three bids pending that I am waiting to hear from. There are real work-from-home jobs out there, but of course, you will still use your knowledge and research because there are people trying to get over on people who are trying to provide for their families. I hope you check it out.

Happy Sunday-No Work Monday!

HELLO MY FABULOUS AND WONDERFUL READERS!!

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend, hopefully your weekend will be extended and you don't have to hit the office tomorrow, since it's the holiday! It's been such a busy weekend, I've barely had time to sneeze! You all know I do my best to post everyday!

Well, church was AWESOME!!! Pastor McCullough PREACHED!! His sermon was about Remembering What God Has Done For You! Truly an awesome message. As you all know I've been posting every one in a while about the DNC-2012 that the Queen City will be hosting this year. They started shutting the city down this evening and it's going to be tight with security the rest of the week.  For those who need public transportation information check www.ridetransit.org or call 704-336-RIDE for information regarding buses and Lynx. The Transit Center will be CLOSED! They have really beautified the uptown area. There was a sand sculpture of Obama at the Epicenter. They showed the changes made to the inside of the Time Warner Cable Arena and it is really excellent! I know it's going to be a crazy week. I heard they have brought in security from different cities including Chicago. Well, I know they were probably glad to get that detail, especially with all of the horrible crime in Chicago.
